2017 - Year of Ceaseless Flow of Grace

Scriptural Passage: John 1v14-17

Introduction

2017 has been declared the year of Ceaseless Flow of Grace. Speaking at the 2017 cross-over service Pastor Kolawole Oyeyemi spoke expressly about the mind of the Lord for the church. The background scriptural passage is John 1v14-17.
According to the King James Version, the passage reads:

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 

The Amplified Version explains it this way:

14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception). 15 John testified [repeatedly] about Him and [a]has cried out [testifying officially for the record, with validity and relevance], “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me [b]has a higher rank than I and has priority over me, for He existed before me.’” 16 For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift]. 17 For the Law was given through Moses, but grace [the unearned, undeserved favor of God] and truth came through Jesus Christ.

The Message version of the bible reads the passage as thus:

The Word became flesh and blood,
    and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
    the one-of-a-kind glory,
    like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
    true from start to finish.
15 John pointed him out and called, “This is the One! The One I told you was coming after me but in fact was ahead of me. He has always been ahead of me, has always had the first word.”
16-17 We all live off his generous bounty,
        gift after gift after gift.
    We got the basics from Moses,
        and then this exuberant giving and receiving,
    This endless knowing and understanding—
        all this came through Jesus, the Messiah.

The Prophetic Focus

Four background were laid as the focus of the year according to prophecy.

1. It is a year of separation between those who serve God and those who do not.
2. It is a year of Remembrance and Recompense
3. It is a year of Judgment
4. It is a year of Sustenance by Grace

Conclusion

There is an assurance from our Father in Heaven for ceaseless flow of Grace to all who are diligent to Him and His kingdom service.
